Hybrid Car Rental For Uber In Perth

Yes, you can drive for Uber in a hybrid, and in Perth it is the sensible choice. Fuel is the one running cost that stays with you, so the car you pick decides how much of each fare you keep.

Every car MCSyo rents is a Toyota hybrid, by the week, with unlimited kilometres.

  • ✓Unlimited kilometres, no extra fees
  • ✓Servicing and tyres are on us
  • ✓No credit check, no finance
  • ✓Toyota hybrids only

Do Uber And DiDi Accept A Hybrid?

They do. A hybrid is an ordinary petrol car to them, and nothing about the hybrid part counts against you.

What both apps actually care about is the car's age and its condition. Ours are kept to the rules that apply in Western Australia, so that side is sorted before you collect the car.

Why The Hybrid Matters When You Are Driving For Work

Look at which costs are yours and which are ours. Servicing, mechanical repairs and tyres are ours. Fuel is yours.

That makes fuel the one weekly cost you can actually change, and the car is what changes it.

Rideshare driving is also the exact kind of driving a hybrid is built for. Crawling through the CBD, waiting on a rank, stopping and starting through the suburbs: that is where a hybrid uses least, and where a normal petrol car uses most.

Which Hybrids Can I Rent?

Toyota, and only Toyota. Alex buys them because they stay cheap to keep on the road, and because parts and servicing are easy to get in Perth.

Which one you get depends on what is free when you start. The car list shows every car available now, with photos and its own weekly price.

What You Still Have To Sort Out Yourself

We handle the car. You handle your side: your licence, your approval with Uber or DiDi, and the authorisation the Western Australian government requires of drivers.

Our rideshare car rental page sets out the whole arrangement, including what Uber, DiDi and the government each want from you, and the four steps to get driving.

What It Costs

Every car has its own weekly price, set for that car. You will see that price on the car, with its photos, on the Our Cars page.

There is a refundable bond. You pay it with your first week on the day you collect the car.

For rideshare driving the minimum is 13 weeks. Under that there is a one off $100 admin fee, and at 13 weeks or more it is waived.
